Scattered Thoughts about Rauma

Actually, it has been a while since I returned from Rauma. Still, I cannot believe places like Rauma do exist in this world.
Rauma is really a small town sits on the west coat of Finland. I remembered it was on Monday when we arrived there, so museums there were unfortunately not open. I felt pretty cold when I got off the bus. Later, I still felt cold when I was walking around the town but thanks to the coldness which stops me from being too excited and made me actively think during the walk.
The centre of Rauma is technically called Old Rauma which is known for the wooden architecture. More remarkably, the Old Rauma is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Rows of wooden houses neatly lie along the stone road which can easily creates a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. Rose is too glamorous, like a siren; daisy is too naive. Instead, the town feels like lily, pure and graceful, but still has its own story beautiful enough to capture you. House here are all made of wood, but they never bore you.Different shapes, different colors, and different settings of the houses tell different stories of every family. Some households like passionate colors, like red; others prefer cold colors, like dark blue. You can find people there like to decorate their house with extremely carefulness just by giving a glimpse of their windowsill veiled behind the curtain trimmed with romantic lace.
It's not crowded at all, like most cities in Finland. I feel like shops there are not run for business or for morning because some of them are just open for two or three hours in two or three days of one week. I guess running a shop for them is just a hobby, or just a way to color their life. Few people are on the street but you won't feel desolate because there is some kind of "humanity" hangs in the air. You can feel there are people, you are not by yourself, you are not lonely.
Outside the old town, there is a pretty modernized library. People spend time there no matter young or old. People's hearts stay in the old beautiful times, but their minds closely follow the newest knowledge.
How can people grow up at places like Rauma not be virtuous?

sometimes, you just need to be relaxed and let it go

You must have been in situation like this: You lost something and you keep finding it for hours or even for days. But you just CANNOT find it anywhere. Few weeks or few months later, the thing you lost just automatically appears in front of you.

Last week, I opened my own blog and causally set a photo as my blog's cover picture.Just few minutes later, I found the cover picture I set could not go well with any background picture,so I decided to change it. However, computer stuff can sometimes confuse you and even drive you crazy. I couldn't figure out which icon to click if I want to change my cover picture. As a girl who sometimes has a mild obsessive compulsory disorder, by no means I would easily give up finding out where to click. What happened next was a total disaster for me--- I kept finding the icon for nearly THREE HOURS!!! I almost tried every icon I can click on the page, but it does NOT work anyway. I felt terribly disturbed. It was like you can see the target thing was right in front of you, just few inches, but you cannot reach it now matter how hard you tried. I can even felt the web page was laughing at me, and the only thing I could do was keeping cursing the stupid Google--- how can you create stupid things like this???!!! I know I was even more stupid than Google since I was teased by a picture! Three hours later, it's over 12pm,and I felt so sleep that I could only choose to give up. After all, I am a normal person who just has an occasionally mild obsessive compulsory disorder, fortunately. In the next day, the first thing I did after I arrived the school is to ask someone if they know how to replace the cover picture. I failed again. This time, I forced myself to stop thinking about this, and to ignore my blog for sometime. However, it was really hard for me to let it go.

Life is a successful joker. The solution only comes after you let it go---this morning, when I decided to write something, I found the icon for changing my cover picture accidentally! There was an ecstasy or a feel of release at first, but few seconds later I returned to calmness. Finally, I replaced my cover picture which was such a torment for me.
Sometimes, you just need to be relaxed and let it go.Life itself will give you an answer anyhow. JUST LET IT GO for a while, give yourself a break, please.

Now I am, again, confused by how to change the language in the main page of my blog, but I won't be panic again because I know the solution will come to me in the end.

Cranky Miss Finnish Weather

 Miss weather got a boy;
 Girls in love lose brain.
 Miss weather was mad ,
She caught a chick seducing her boy.
Hail fell to curse that bitch.
 Hug, kiss make her dull,
Sunshine came out to show her smile.
 Looks warm, feels cold,
This is how girls act in love,
Never look like how they think.
She just wants her boy knows,
“I’m the one has the final say”,
 Morning hail, evening sun,
This is typical girl in love.

Warm Experience Taking Buses

Buses in Finland are totally different from buses in China, no crowds, no tumult. Everytime I get on the bus, what welcomes me first is the driver’s warm smile. I don’t know what else other than a warmer smile can be the best response. “kiitos” is the most useful word when taking buses. The driver will say “kiitos” when you get on the bus, and in return, passengers will say “kiitos” when they get off the bus. A simple, short word shows a nation’s habit to be polite. Another detail worth to mention about buses in Finland is that the bus driver will tilt the bus when elders or women with baby carriages get on the bus. This unnoticeable act can be the symbol of humanitarianism. I also had a great experience one time I was waiting for buses. That was a beautiful afternoon, the bus station, as usual, only had one person standing there before I went to it. The only person there was an ordinary Finnish woman who was smoking before I came to the station. A few seconds after I paused at the station, the woman came to me and politely asked me “ would you mind I smoking here?”. I was shocked and shook my head quickly. She gave me a thankful smile as response. I was shocked because I was never been asked this kind of question before. The respect between strangers can be easily epitomized by a simple question which is also the best make-up for a lovely lady.
